The missed-call math, end to end.

Every local business with a phone leaks revenue through unanswered calls. The leak is invisible because a missed call leaves no record of the job, patient, or customer that walked away. This calculator turns that invisible leak into a dollar figure an operator can put in front of a prospect, and it does it with a chain of four simple steps rather than a black box.

Step one: lost calls. Multiply monthly inbound call volume by the missed-call rate. A business taking 400 calls a month and missing 25 percent of them loses 100 calls. Step two: recovered calls. An AI receptionist answers around the clock, so apply the AI answer rate to the lost calls. At a 90 percent answer rate, 90 of those 100 missed calls now get picked up. Step three: recovered customers. Not every answered call becomes a customer, so apply the call-to-customer close rate. At 30 percent, those 90 recovered calls produce 27 new customers a month. Step four: recovered revenue. Multiply the recovered customers by the average lifetime value of a customer.

The return figures fall out of that revenue. ROI multiple is recovered revenue divided by the monthly AI cost. Payback period is the monthly cost divided by recovered revenue, expressed in days, which tells the business how quickly the spend covers itself. The calculator deliberately ships with conservative defaults — a below-average miss rate, a realistic close rate, and an answer rate that assumes the agent occasionally hands off or drops a call — because a number a prospect can verify against their own phone records closes more deals than an inflated one they will not believe.
