/ how it works

The seven sections every voice prompt needs.

Most operators write their first voice agent prompt as one long paragraph of wishes — "be friendly, book appointments, answer questions" — and then wonder why the agent rambles, invents prices, and traps callers who just want a human. A prompt that works on the phone is structured, not poetic. This generator builds it from seven parts.

Identity tells the model who it is and forces short replies, because a voice caller will not sit through a monologue. Objective states the one outcome that matters on this call — a booking, a transfer, a qualified lead — and it changes depending on whether the call is inbound or outbound. Greeting confirms the business name in the first sentence so the caller knows they reached the right place, with phrasing tuned to the tone you picked.

Qualifying questions are where the vertical matters. A dental practice needs to know new patient versus existing and whether it is an emergency; an HVAC company needs the system type and whether there is no heat or no cooling right now. The generator loads the questions that actually move a call forward for the vertical you selected, so you are not starting from a blank box.

Knowledge boundaries stop the agent from making things up — no invented availability, no off-the-cuff pricing, no medical, legal, or financial advice. Handoff triggers name the exact moments to transfer to a human, which is the single biggest protection against an automation horror story. And the post-call summary turns the call into a CRM record your client can act on: caller, reason, outcome, sentiment, follow-up.

The output is a first draft you can stand behind, not a finished agent. Edit in the real hours, real services, and real transfer number, run ten test calls, and tighten the boundaries to match your knowledge base. The scaffolding saves you the hour everyone wastes on the skeleton; the client's specifics are the last mile.
